Our Story.

Around the turn of the millennium, in 2001, InPlaySoft’s CEO was but a spring chicken – and one who loved to code. 90% of his time would be in front of the screen, working with the coding language Pascal. This was long before the days of AI and Alex tutored himself, surrounded by programming tomes, exploring Visual Basic, then C++ and beyond – and he found his application niche in none other than sports betting.

The next 20 years saw Alex enjoy a successful career in tech, building businesses and still coding (though mostly in his spare time, as his dev teams got sick of him meddling in their work). Coding was in his heart – but there was an itch that wouldn’t go away.

Tech had become increasingly vital everywhere you looked, it had moved progressively to the cloud, it has started employing AI to great effect, yet there were elements behind the scenes that just weren’t keeping up. In the Gaming industry, it meant platforms relying heavily on physical infrastructures that take time, personnel and money just to keep up to speed, let alone upgrade – platforms that were too open to the risk of downtime and that couldn’t scale intelligently.

To this day, that remains the case for many. And it’s not good enough, as Alex believed in 2021 when he formed InPlaySoft and started to build a new codebase from scratch – a code that wouldn’t expect operators to compromise anymore – a code that would result in a cloud-first platform, one that predicts usage demands and automatically scales to cope with even the craziest of peaks – and one that has yet to experience any downtime. Zero.

Fast forward to today and Alex’s beliefs are as strong as ever – and now, with InPlaySoft leading the way in intelligent iGaming platform solutions, we’re doing what was always Alex’s goal: to help our partners grow beyond their wildest expectations.
